Q is for Quilt, Q-Tip, and Quack

Tuesday we had a really fun time learning about the letter Q. Q says "Quah"! Our favorite words are quack, quilt, quail, and quarter. We read a captivating book, "The Napping House" about a Granny sleeping on a quilt with members of the house. All the kids loved singing 5 little ducks went out to play, and acting out the actions.

The kids practiced making the Q shape with zip lock bags filled with paint.

For our art project the kids decorated a large Q with dots made out of a Q-tip and paint. The boys all loved dipping Q-tips into paint. We used a large pile of fabric cut into squares to decorate a cute image of the boys under a quilt.

The weather was so warm we all went outside to play in a huge set of boxes we taped together to make a house. That was a highlight of our morning.

For snack the kids decorated graham crackers topped with frosting and sprinkles.
