Q is for Quail

For our second day we read several books while lounging on a quilt. Each kid found a book they wanted read. A special guest came to help out with circle time, his name is Barnaby the goat. Barnaby caused a little riot so he want back into the preschool box. We sang 5 Little Ducks quite a few more times because it is so fun.

After circle time the kids enjoyed practicing scissor skills cutting diamond shapes. We snacked on quesadillas, which also starts with the letter Q. While we ate a sneaky Quail laid eggs in the yard. The boys decorated white paper bags with water colors. Each boy tried to make the Q shape. I think they did a marvelous job! Each boy collected 4 eggs! After all the eggs were spotted we opened them up to find Upper Case Q, Lower Case q, and Diamond shapes.
