Ice Cream Shop

Friday the kids discovered the Della Dulce Ice Cream Shop magically appeared in our basement. Phillip and Ella joined us for preschool. We missed both Stella and Lily. We did our best to concentrate on circle time and doing two worksheets. The lure of the ice cream shop was powerful! The kids counted off A or B to determine who would be a customer and a shop worker. Amelia and Ella worked the shop first while Will, Zane, and Bryn were customers. The kids ordered off menus, paid over $50 per scoop of ice cream, and then munched on their treats at the cafe table. The groups traded places. Then it was a free for all. I paid $150 dollars for an ice cream sundae with cherries, syrup, and nuts over a scoop of vanilla. It was divine. Then I had to mow the slide as my chore to earn more ice cream money. Those kids had me mowing the entire basement. Slave labor! We ate sugar cones and animal crackers for snack.

Looks like a blast! We are sorry Stella missed it, but she had fun with her cousins and grandparents!
