Valentine's Party!

On Thursday I thought it would be fun to have a cute preschool Valentine's Party. The kids arrived and we had a quick introduction to preschool, reviewed our letter of the week and the heart shape, talked about valentine's day, and then jumped right in to a fun valentine's craft - Valentine's Bags!

My original hope was they would make these bags first thing, the paint would dry, and then at the very end when they exchanged the valentine's they would be able to take them home. I think in my head I was thinking it would dry like ink (like stamps) but paint and preschoolers I should have realized never work that way. Haha. So they did a craft, but none of them were done by the end of class & we had to use other generic bags instead. Sorry.

Since we were learning the heart shape I made homemade heart stamps for them to use out of toilet paper rolls. The kids got to choose whatever paint color they wanted, and could stamp their bags to make them fun.

The craft got over quickly so we let the kids play downstairs while we cleaned off the table and set it up with food. Then we had some yummy goodies, some more free play time & then it was time to exchange the Valentine's! Too much fun!

Jenni is the ever-ready awesome photographer so she has all the good pictures that she will hopefully share on here when she gets around to it. :)
